The Tennessee Shakespeare Festival in association with The Webb School is offering an exciting summer program for high school students in the heart of beautiful and historic Bell Buckle, Tennessee. The festival will offer internships to selected area students, who will subsequently be involved with the 2010 season at all levels of production. Students will have the opportunity to watch and to work with professional festival performers, technicians, and designers as they prepare the third annual Tennessee Shakespeare Festival. In addition, interns will attend workshops and master classes in movement, stage combat, scene study and Shakespeare taught by festival professionals.
The educational program mission of Tennessee Shakespeare is to provide a balanced emphasis in education and entertainment through exploration and performance of the language, stories, character, and culture of William Shakespeare. Every intern will have the unique opportunity to perform on the Festival stage in recital on July 8th, as well as having the opportunity to audition for mainstage festival productions. |
